To the family of Sherman Dwight Gillespie, I wish to offer my deepest condolences to you all on Sherman's passing. He trained me while was serving my apprenticeship at the Perry Funeral Home of Battle Creek, Mich. from March 0f 1976- March 1977 prior to enlisting into the U.S. Army. After my military service, aI did obtain my Funeral Director/ Embalmer licenses in the State of Texas. Sherman's taking time and PATIENCE paid off thanks to Shermwn's teaching me. Sherman, thank you for the teaching and the great sense of humor and humility that you shared with me and OTHERS. REST IN PEACE.

Sherman Gillespie was so kind to me when my mother passed away, I could not have gotten through that without his kindness. He will be greatly missed.
